Akhuwat Foundation Loan Scheme

Akhuwat, founded in 2001, is a non-profit inspired by the Islamic principle of Mawakhat (solidarity). Based on the spirit of sharing shown by the Ansars of Medina in 622 CE, Akhuwat promotes a model where wealthy families support those in need, aiming to eliminate inequality.

Loans Under Akhuwat

Empowering communities through compassion and interest-free support.

Interest-Free Microfinance

Akhuwat provides small, interest-free loans to underserved individuals, enabling them to start or grow their own businesses. This model promotes self-reliance and breaks the cycle of poverty without burdening borrowers with high-interest debt.

Community-Driven Support

Our lending model is rooted in community engagement and trust. Loans are distributed through local chapters, fostering a sense of ownership and accountability while encouraging economic inclusion at the grassroots level.

Inspired by Brotherhood (Mawakhat)

Akhuwat’s philosophy is inspired by the Islamic concept of Mawakhat—brotherhood and mutual support. We believe that true change begins when people stand together to uplift one another.

Transforming Lives Through Interest-Free Microfinance

Akhuwat is built on a simple yet powerful belief — that dignity, compassion, and community support can break the cycle of poverty. Through our interest-free loan program, we empower individuals to start small businesses, pursue education, or stabilize their livelihoods — without the burden of debt. Every loan is a step toward a more equitable and self-reliant society.
